Face Slimming Tool: Gold T Bar

This may be one of my weird beauty product and it is famous in Japan and Taiwan. Surprise...surprise. FACIAL SLIMMING PRODUCT!

This is a 24K face massaging tool. Using nanometer technology to help massage your face by vibrating 6000 times a minute which provides enough stimulation to the facial muscles for firming effects and by firming I meant skin tightening and lifting. It ALSO claims to provide skin whitening benefit. Do not take my words for it if you can't see any whitening effects as I cannot attest to it, too.

It helps to reduce wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. If you suffer from sagging cheeks, water retention and puffiness it does the magic and the result will be shown immediately upon using it. Did I mention it also help in facial blood circulation too?

It is waterproof and operate by one AA battery, of course battery is not included when you purchase this vibrator. Just undress the "switch" and penetrate it with the battery and it will work (NC17).
It's pretty easy to use however I would suggest to use it only after your skincare routine as it too helps the skin to absorb more products. Do put on a tad more face moisturizer as it helps it to glide on smoothly without any tagging.

Hold the tool near the bottom to get maximum effects. You should not use any force while gliding it across the cheek. Normally I like to use it at night before I put on facial mask to end things, of course you can use it while you are in shower as it's waterproof.

First, place it on the forehead and glides it towards your hairline. This is to omit heavy and furrow brow lines.

Second, place it at the side and glides it towards the hairline moving in a diagonally upwards motion. Say BYE to crow's feet.

Third, I like to let it sits under my eye for 10 - 20 seconds to minus out my eye bag.

Fourth, place it next to the nose and glides it towards the hairline moving in curve upward motion as shown by the arrow as I don't need any sunken cheeks.

Fifth, place it at the smile line and do the same motion as step four or you can let it sit for a good 10 second before massaging.

Sixth, place it at your jowl and glides it in an upward motion towards the center of the ear.

Seventh, place it under assume turkey chin and glide in a downwards direction.

Always massage from the top to the bottom as it too helps with the blood circulation towards the heart. I did took a before and after but I am going to show you people one side of my face, first.

They are both left side of my gorgeous face but I flipped my "before" photo to match the "after". I can immediately tell that I have a less visible eye bag and smile line and side of my face looks a tad slimmer. I too have a much sharper jowl.

I massaged each set for 20 times and of course you can do more. However I must warn you that it feels so ticklish due to the vibration. If you are confuse about how to massage your face don't worry and just remember this method, massage everything in an UPWARD diagonally motion towards the hairline/ear and hold that ending position for a couple of second and continue.

After using it, clean it with a kleenex and store it in your drawer, very simple. I do hope you will find joy in using it!

You can get it here at S$10 excluding shipping fees.

I will make a video about it when I bought a new hard disk...because my old one went crazy and my current laptop doesn't have enough space.

Do You Have A Dehydrated Skin?

Do remember to read my previous post before you read this post.
By now we should know the differences between skin types and they are critical for treating the needs of our skin. However distinction between different skin types/conditions are not always as straightforward as they appear. I encounter many thought they are oily skin type because they see oil little do they know that they are wrong.
I am not surprise many of us associate dry as dehydrate because some of their symptoms are pretty similar. They are both:
  • Flaky
  • Itchy
  • Dull
  • Sensitive
  • Tight
  • Cause lines and/or wrinkles
The differences between Dry and Dehydrate skin are:
skin type vs condition

Oily skin can be dehydrate and dehydrate dry skin can be confused as being oily. Surprise?
When the skin is dehydrated it creates more oil to make up for the missing of water, it forms a barrier on the surface to prevent the loss of moisture. This is when dry skin type people thought they have oily skin types instead. Overproduction of oil to compensate for dehydration can create blemishes and even breakouts.
It doesn't matter which skin types you are. It is best always choose a product that helps to hydrate. I have an oily skin type but hydration is always my top priority than oil controlling. It is a staple item for any skin types.
Skin is our last organ that absorb water, hence the nutrients that it consume isn't enough. We need some external help such as Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin.

Differences in Sun Screen and Sun Block!

We first must know about UVAUVB and UVC before we talk about the differences.
UV stands for "ultraviolet" radiation.
UVA is around us every day; it can even penetrate through window glass. We always want to look tan during summer and this is the ray that does that. UVA does tanning effect aka darken our complexion. It leads to aging and loss of collagen over long period of time because it can penetrate deeper and damage our cells.
UVB leads to sun burn, skin reddening and the main cause of skin cancer. It tends to damage our epidermal layers. UVB rays do not significantly penetrate glass.
UVC is absorbed by the ozone layer and does not reach the Earth because it has a shorter ray. Basically you can ignore UVC, I only wrote UVC because it seemed cool.
If you can't memorize don't worry. Just remember "A" in UVA stands for "Aging" and "B" in UVB stands for "Burning".
Next thing we need to know is SPF.
SPF is know as "Sun Protection Factor". It is a measurement of how well a sunscreen will protect skin from UVB rays which will damage our skin.
So what does the SPF number is about?
SPF30 means you could be out in the sun approximately *300 minutes before you get sunburned than you would be able to if you went out without. The higher the number, the longevity. However I still recommend to reapply every couple of hours.
*A user can determine how long their sunscreen will be effective by multiplying the SPF factor by the length of time it takes for him or her to suffer a burn without sunscreen.
What is Sunscreen?
Sunscreen is the chemical protection that penetrates the skin and absorbs the UVA rays before they are able to reach and damage your dermal layer. It filters the suns UV rays, keeping most rays out, but letting some in.
Sun screen helps you to tan without damaging your skin and you have to reapply every two hours and put on a lot for it to be effective because ingredients will break down after exposure in the sun.
What is Sunblock?
Sunblock is the physical protection that sits on top of the skin acting as a barrier between your skin and damaging UV rays by reflecting or absorb the rays, preventing them from penetrating into the skin.
Sun block is the opaque lotion. You can see people wearing especially at the beach, with streak of sunblock on their noses and other parts of their face. I do that to whole of my face and made myself looked like a clown.
Sunblock does not have to be reapplied every few hours. Personally I do because it wears off especially I do a lot of sports. Better be prepared right?

In fact, many brands today are a hybrid of sunscreen and sunblock. There's a way to tell whether the sunscreen offers UVA protection is by the word "Broad Spectrum". Without it, it's just an average sunscreen.
What is PA+++?
PA means "Protection Grade of UVA". PA followed by plus signs is a designation used in Japan to rate the UVA protection of a sunscreen. The number of "+" symbols after "PA" indicate the level of UVA protection; PA+ means some UVA protection. In fact "PA" equals to "Broad Spectrum".
Take care of your skin! Have fun in the sun!

Why Drink Water?

I have met a number of people complaining that they have very dull and dry skin. The next question I will asked them is "Did you drink water?" and I'm not surprise when they replied "No" and what surprise me is "Does it matter?".
HELL YES!
Water Matters.
Personally I drank a ton of water and I meant A TON. I hate sodas, I hate the fizzy-ness on my tongue and frankly speaking I don't fancy that much sugar drink unless it's honey. You almost can never see me drink sodas.
Ever heard of people complaining that they haven't been to the bathroom for days and feel so bloated all the time? It never happen to me.
*It might be too much informations for some of you peeps.
I'm always able to do my business everyday. I don't even need to put pressure while I'm on it, it is quite a relaxing event for me. But what does water has to do with it?
Constipation is related to dehydration in the colon. When body is being hydrated, less water will be taken from the colon. So it helps to keep the stool soft and hence it's easy to pass it out.
Water benefits us in so many ways.
The cells in our skin is made up of water hence it needs water to work, without it they can't function well. If they don't get enough water, they will be dry, tight and flaky. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling.
Why drink more water?
It's because water will reach our other organs before it reaches our skin cells. Drinking water is one of the best things you can do because it's literally free and also to keep our skin looking young. Proper hydration helps keeping our body system working and that includes our skin so that the nutrients are being sent to the cells keeping them hydrated and plump.
As per my previous post, having enough moisture in our skin makes our face firmer and less wrinkles and pores, needless to say it made us looks so much younger with glowing skin.
It was told that we need to drink at least 8 cups of water everyday but it varies. Not every one of us need that amount. Water is present in fruits and vegetables (or tea and coffee) so water itself is not the only source that helps to hydrate you. BUT of course what works best than the actual water itself?
